Gaga for Agate

Have you noticed the influx of sparkly stone and crystal home decor? Not to mention the avalanche of chunky gems making the rounds on the fashion scene. Personally, I'm a big fan of the trend, especially when it comes to interior design. Gems manage to add an organic, exotic element to any room while still being totally glam. Here are a few of my favorite rocks of the moment (click the images for details):

I stumbled upon Geoffrey Scott's gorgeous gems through Instagram (are you following me yet?) and these ones in particular caught my eye. The pink one would really pop against a black strapless dress layered with other gold chains, or would even look rad with a basic white tee and jeans for summer.

One of these for each of my night stands would give me very, very sweet dreams.

I can't begin to describe my love for this lamp. Get this: the crystal stones on the bottom conceal an LED light inside, so they can glow by themselves without the actual lamp lightbulb being turned on. I would put a black lampshade on this baby and rack up an electric bill like nobody's business.

One day, I will have you, coasters.

I've been waiting for these awesome West Elm coasters to go on sale for centuries. They would look so amazing on a brass coffee table surrounded by teak furniture and would make the perfect little pedestals for your cocktail of choice.

Pink rocks. (It really does.)

You can add lucite to pretty much anything and I'll automatically drool over it, and these geode napkin rings are no different. I see these adorning a funky brunch table with mimosas and strawberries all around, and lime green zinnia centerpieces.

What do you think - are you a fan of the rock trend?
