Google Privacy & Security Pop-Ups
The relationship between technology and society is quickly evolving. Consumers and policymakers have become increasingly skeptical of big tech’s handling of privacy and security, particularly in the collection and usage of personal data. But while data privacy and security remain a hot topic in DC, there is a general lack of understanding of how data is used, collected and most importantly, protected.
At the same time, policymakers aren’t the typical consumer. They’re fast paced, distracted, buried in today’s news and generally not interested in interacting with consumer activations. In order for our information to break through, we needed a concept that would lean into personal activations that didn’t focus on Google’s consumer brand positioning, but instead offered an engaging and informational experience that fostered discussion around the services and products already being used across the Google portfolio.
By creating engaging activations throughout Washington DC, Bridget successfully showcased Google’s efforts and leadership in online privacy & security to policymakers and opinion formers through education, relationship-building, and demonstrating user impact first-hand.
